Then there were Bentos...

Random: I want this Toast Messenger. You write/ draw anything you want and it will appear on the toast.

This piece of fabulous machinery got me thinking how much i love inventive cuisine. I love creativity and food, combine both and congratulations you’ve reached perfection. Of course the Japanese already got that down to a science. I mean Bento boxes are fabulous, they are lunch boxes, much like the type of box you take your lunch to school in; of course people have taken it to the point that it becomes art.

Note: "Bento" is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in
Japanese cuisine. Bento can be very elaborately arranged. (Wikipedia)

The food is often decorated to look like people, cartoon characters, animals, etc.

There's this awesome book called "Face Food" by Christopher D Salyers, and the title is pretty much self explanatory, it's food made into characters. It's incredible, and amazing of how much effort people put into making these.

Hay un libro fantástico llamado "Face Food" by Christopher D Salyers
,
